The PAM domain (PCI/PINT associated module) is found in a number of proteins that form multiprotein complexes..g. the Sac3-Thp1 complex.he regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome and the COP-9 signalosome. The domain is present in a single copy and has an alpha-helical fold. It is thought to play a role in protein binding .

A homology domain of unclear function.ccurs in the C-terminal region of severalregulatory components of the 26S proteasome as well as in other proteins. This domainhas also been called the PINT motif (Proteasome.nt-6.ip-1 and TRIP-15) .Apparently.ll of the characterized proteins containing PCI domains are parts of largermulti-protein complexes. Proteins with PCI domains include budding yeast proteasomeregulatory components Rpn3(Sun2).pn5.pn6.pn7and Rpn9 ; mammalian proteasome regulatory components p55.58 and p44.5.nd translationinitiation factor 3 complex subunits p110 and INT6 . The complete homology domain comprisesapprox. 200 residues.he highest conservation is found in the C-terminal half.
